Torchiere lamp is a classic style that fits with many periods of decor. This lamp is an adequate substitute for a halogen torchiere lamp and determine, using the above factors, that the utility of halogen lights does not outweigh its dangers. The torchiere has been fitted for ecf, electronic compact fluorescent technology, which is 6 times more efficient than incandescent. The torchiere lamp is supplied with 26 watt ballast and bulb, in a 4100 kelvin hue. This gives a wonderful reading light, and is far superior to a 150 watt incandescent bulb.

Torchiere lamp is cooler and safer than a halogen lamp and pays for itself in a year or two with its 50 percent energy savings. There is some evidence of unreasonable danger. Wal-mart claims there is no evidence the lamp in dispute caused the fire. Wal-mart arguesthe parents cannot prove causation without producing the actual lamp.

Torchiere lamp is an example of a new, but not “miscellaneous”, product type that is included in the study due to definition issues. During the period 1976 to 1995, miscellaneous electricity consumption increased at an annual rate of 4. In 1995, miscellaneous electricity consumption totaled 235 twh, accounting for approximately one quarter of total residential electricity use. From 1996 through 2010, we project that miscellaneous electricity consumption will increase 115 twh, accounting for over 90% of forecasted residential electricity growth.

It is estimated in 1995 for miscellaneous electricity consumption as well as the forecasted miscellaneous growth from 1996 to 2010 that are lower than estimates published in aeo97. Aeo97 estimates 1995 miscellaneous electricity at 337 twh, compared to our estimate of 235 twh. Aeo97’s forecasted growth rate from 1996 to 2010, 3. 8%, is higher than our projected growth rate of 2. Miscellaneous product types can be binned into four broad categories: consumer electronics, electric resistance heaters, lighting, and small motors.

Torchiere lamp is inspired by a piece in the guest room of Martha’s east hampton house. It is made of genuine alabaster, so each piece is unique in figuring and veining. The light, which is hand-carved to emphasize its natural luster, takes warmth from the alabaster. Based on a three-light table lamp in martha’s new york city apartment, this lamp’s mouth-blown genuine milk-glass shades illuminate with crisp warmth. It was influenced by the playful designs of french designer jean royere.

The Torchiere lamp takes many forms. It can be made of many materials but most commonly made as floor lamps. As popular lamps, they provide excellent area lighting because they bounce light off the ceiling and diffuse it throughout a large area of the room. The torchiere lamp has many types of glass. This torchiere glass usually has a waffle type pattern pressed into the surface of the glass although there are some with no pattern in the glass. These torchiere glass shades were very popular in the 1920’s and 1930’s and were found on many 6 way floor lamps that had 3 arm lights plus a center light. They are also available on some modern lamps as well as some floor lamps without arms.
